Pen names used by writer: Chang Ying 长缨, Li Bing李冰, Shu Zhen 树臻, Ah Zhao阿昭, Zhuang Xin 庄歆, Yu Bo余波, mainly used Zhuang Xin and Xin Zhen心珍as pen-name.
Known in the Chinese literary circle in Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong, prolific writer Seok Tin wrote a few columns on art, travel, satire commentary for national newspapers and magazines in Singapore Chinese daily from defunct Nanyang Siang Pau and Sinchew Ribao to its successor Lianhe Zaobao, Sinming Ribao from 1974-2014.
Essay 心语 (heart talk) has been in separate Chinese Language text books both in Singapore and in Hong Kong.
In 1977, an essay about looking for job won second prize in the ‘Worldwide Chinese Essay Competition’ organised by the Wide Angle Press, Hong Kong (title:qiu ze ji (Job hunting Journal) – republished in her book AfternoonTea: my life as an overseas student.
Most of her books are illustrated with prints made by Seok Tin.
